INSTRUCTOR PROFILE:
Mike Sullivan, has been a Class A Member of the PGA since 1985. Graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University, Mike started his career under the tutelage of Dave Kendall. During his 2 years under the watch of Dave, Mike developed a solid foundation for teaching.
In 1987 & 1988, Mike served as Assistant Golf Professional at North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Ill. under Bill Ogden. Mike led a very active teaching program for Men, Women and Juniors that was guided by Bill. Bill, who was an established player playing in 2 Masters, 6 PGA Championships and 14 National Championships, had a sound fundamental approach to his teaching & playing programs.
Mike Sullivan over the last 20 years has served as Head Golf Professional and lead instructor at Dubuque Golf & Country Club in Dubuque, IA. and Gull Lake Country Club in Kalamazoo, MI. During his tenure at Gull Lake Mike was involved in golf schools with Mike Bender, who is noted as one of the Top 10 greatest teachers in America rated by Golf Digest.
In addition, Mike has had playing achievements over the years, qualifying for the Hawkeye Open on the Ben Hogan Tour in 1991 & 1992 as well as the PGA Tour Hardees Classic in 1990.
Now 24 years later Mike has rejoined his affiliation with Dave Kendall joining the Kendall Academy of Golf staff and looking forward to helping golfers at all levels enhance their enjoyment of the game.
